As part of its corporate mandate, Tiger Sports of Enmore Old Road, East Coast Demerara, on Friday presented a complete cricket kit to promising young batsman, Vishwanauth Ramlakhan, of the Enmore Community Centre Cricket Club (ECCCC).

The entity’s proprietor, former national wicketkeeper/batsman Sheik Mohamed, presented the kit to the 15-year-old Hope Secondary School student, who impressed during his debut match for ECCCC against Eccles Sports Club last Sunday.
Mohamed said the young batsman has tremendous talent and Tiger Sports is pleased to play a part in his development. The businessman also encouraged Ramlakhan to also focus on his education since there is always life after cricket.
Currently, Ramlakhan is an A-student at his school, and the right-handed batsman plans to sit eight subjects at next year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations.
Ramlakhan, who hit 72 in the match against for Eccles, expressed gratitude to Mohamed and his company, adding that he will put the equipment to good use.
Also present at the presentation ceremony were ECCCC captain Bheemraj Ramkellawan and member, Tahal Ganesh.
