Miss Guyana Renaissance Pageant on this Saturday at the NCC

On Saturday, August 19, the National Cultural Centre will be a buzz of activitiy as the 8th annual Miss Renaissance Pageant is hosted in grandeur. This year, 12 contestants will be vying for the title and bragging rights for the next year.
Those who will take to the stage on Saturday are Jennifer Lall, Teona Greene-Eririogu, Marcia Edwards, Carolyn Legall, Bevon Austin, Aletta Alleyne, Deon Jewel Smith, Stacy Carmichael, Odessa De Barros, Viola Jillian Moore, Nokola David and Tessa Eileen Fernandes.
The pageant serves as a catalyst to re-educate the public about their inner beauty, creativity, cultural awareness and accomplishments of matured Guyanese women 30 years and older. Women are leaders, pinnacles in politics, at the forefront for equal rights, mothers and wives and it is behind this backdrop that the Miss Guyana Renaissance Pageant came into being.
It is used to give woman the opportunity to celebrate Guyana cultural diversity, intelligence, beauty and style. The pageant is set for 20:00h and will see the delegates displaying various outfits, as well as compete in the highly anticipated intelligence segment.
