The Norman Singh Memorial Second Division 20-over knockout cricket competition for teams in West Berbice continued recently with opening batsman, Lakeraj Sookra, registering the highest score of the competition when he slammed 93 for D’Edward against Shieldstown.
After Shieldstown had posted a fairly challenging 140 for 5 in their 20 overs, 66 of which came from Kumar Bridgelall in an opening stand of 65 with Omesh Arjune (15) and then 70 for the second wicket with Devendra Lalsa (21 not out), spearheaded D’Edward to victory with 4.4 overs to spare. His knock included eight fours and nine sixes.
Bath also advanced to the third round after they had an easy six-wicket win over Rainbow Generation, thanks to Ravi Gossai’s 53 not out.

At Bath, Bath beat Rainbow Generation by 6 wickets. Rainbow Generation 102 in 13.4 overs with Wayne Fraser 27, Narvin Ramnauth 2 for 15, Hardat Tarson 2 for 17 and Parmesh Ramjattan 2 for 26. Bath 105 for 4 in 18.5 overs with Ravi Gossai 53 not out and Wayne Fraser 2 for 10.
