Defending champions East Bank/New Amsterdam/Canje will clash with Lower Corentyne in the final of the Berbice Cricket Board National Communications
Network Under-15 Inter-Zone cricket competition today at the Albion Community Centre ground.
The match is expected to be keenly contested after East Bank/New Amsterdam/Canje defeated Upper Corentyne on first innings points in their semi-final. There line-up is also boosted by a number of players who represented Berbice at the Inter-County level this year, the likes of off-spinner Joel Seetaram, batsmen Steve Deonarine and Tyrell Peters, allrounder Felon Crandon and wicketkeeper/batsman Kyle Michael.
On the other hand, Lower Corentyne defeated West Berbice in their semi-final game and have in their line-up two players who represented Guyana this year at the regional level – wicket-keeper/batsman Adrian Sukhwa and batsman Matthew Hardyal.
The match is scheduled to start at 09.00h and will be played under the 55-over first innings limitation rule.
Meanwhile, the third place play-off between Upper Corentyne and West Berbice is also scheduled for Friday at the No. 73 ground.
