The Selection Committee of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) has invited 30 cricketers for three 50-over trial matches in preparation for the upcoming Senior Inter-County 50-over competition, which is scheduled to start on September 11.
The first trial match is scheduled for Sunday at Albion, while the other two are fixed for next Tuesday and Wednesday at the same venue.
Among the players called up are Assad Fudadin, Veerasammy Permaul, Devendra Bishoo and Narsingh Deonarine, all of whom have represented West Indies in the past, as well as former West Indies opening batsman Sewnarine Chattergoon. Also earning a call to the trials is Guyana Amazon Warriors fast bowler in the current Limacol Caribbean Premier League, Keon Joseph.
The two teams will be captained by Fudadin and Permaul, subject to their availability.

Permaul’s squad: Veerasammy Permaul, Kandasammy Surujnarine, Arthley Bailey, Narsingh Deonarine, Joemal LaFleur, Seon Hetmyer, Delbert Hicks, Eon Hooper, Jason Sinclair, Keion De Jesus, Shawn Pereira, Kevin Ramdeen, Keon Joseph, Keyron Fraser and Yudendra Harrinarine.
Fudadin’s squad: Assad Fudadin, Shimron Hetmyer, Sewnarine Chattergoon, Devon Clements, Rajiv Ivan, Jonathan Foo, Anthony Bramble, Krishnadat Ramoo, Akshay Homraj, Anthony D’Andrade, Devendra Bishoo, Gudakesh Motie Kanhai, Clinton Pestano, Romario Shepherd and Devendra Thakurdeen.
The matches are scheduled to start at 09:00h each day and the players must report to the ground no later than 07:45h.
