Travis Blyden and Shimron Hetmyer continue to pile on the runs in Trinidad and Tobago, scoring centuries in the latest rounds of Trinidad and Tobago Two-day Championship League.
Last weekend Blyden scored a polished 167 (14×4, 2×6) while national Under-19 batsman from Berbice scored an unbeaten 105, third century of the season, the weekend prior.
Playing in the sixth of the nine-round competition for Evergreen Cricket Club, Blyden recorded his highest score of the season against MYO Sports Club.
MYO batted first and made 255 all out with Rayan Rajmongal scoring 40; Rod Ferrier contributed 39 and Malteenoes SC and youth former youth national pacer Kareem Naughton, 26. Bowling for evergreen Anil Harrypersaud took 3 for 40 and Alvin Ramlogan, 3 for 30.
In reply Evergreen piled on an imposing 363 for 8 declared with Blyden stroking 167 and Kish Rampaul, 66.
Batting a second time, MYO were restricted to 76 for 5 when the match ended. Ramlogan was the principal destroyer with 3 for 23 while Blyden chipped in with 1 for 3 bowling his spin.
