Junior badminton squad bag 6 gold medals in Suriname

The Guyana National Badminton junior team had an excellent outing at the Suriname International Junior Easter Tournament which is was played at the Kwatta Sports Complex from March 25-27.
Local champion sponsored by Sunburst, Narayan Ramdhani was the top player for Guyana with three gold medals in the Under-19 Singles, Doubles and Mix Doubles.
Priyanna Ramdhani won gold in the Under-15 Singles, Under-19 Mix Doubles and bronze in the Under-15 Mix Doubles while Jonathan Mangra won gold in the Under-19 Doubles and Tyreese Richards won bronze in the Under-15 Mix Doubles.

Under-15 Girls Singles Semi-Finals: Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Faith Sariman (SUR): 21-5, 21-6
Under-15 Girls Finals: Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Abigael Hing (SUR): 21-5, 21-11
Under-15 Mix Doubles Semi-Finals: Priyanna Ramdhani and Tyreese Richards lost to Jair Naipal and Abigael Hing (SUR): 21-14, 14-21, 16-21 in a trilling three setter.
Under-19 Boys Singles Semi-Finals: Narayan Ramdhani defeated Danny Chen (CHINA): 22-20, 21-14
Under-19 Boys Singles Finals: Naryan Ramdhani defeated Juan Delprado (SUR): 21-15, 21-16
Under-19 Boys Doubles Semi-Finals: Narayan Ramdhani and Jonathan Mangra defeated Danzel Sweet and Tariq Sweet (SUR): 21-14, 21-17
Under-19 Boys Doubles Finals: Narayan Ramdhani and Jonathan Mangra defeated Shawn Brandon and Juan Delprado (SUR): 21-18, 21-12
Under-19 Mix Doubles Semi-Finals: Narayan Ramdhani and Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Danny Chen (CHI) and Stacy Cheung (SUR): 21-15, 21-16
Under-19 Mix Doubles Finals: Narayan Ramdhani and Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Juan Delprado and Mary-Ann Zhong (SUR): 21-15, 21-18
