A resident of Hadfield Street, Georgetown, was on Friday arrested after he was found in possession in an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
Based on reports, the man was walking along Hadfield Street when he was stopped by a police mobile patrol and a body search conducted.
An unlicensed .45 pistol and six marching rounds were unearthed.
He was questioned by the police but failed to produce a firearm and ammunition license. He was taken into custody and is expected to be charged shortly.
