All set for Digicel’s “Triple Treat” this weekend

The Digicel 10/10 Cricket Tournament will culminate on Sunday with the semi-finals and the grand final which will see teams vying for over $600,000 in cash and trophies. The preliminary competitions were already held and four teams have already secured their spots in the semi-finals.

The first semi will see Queenstown battling against Adventure Sport Club. In the second, Die Hard will come up against United Brothers. After the contest, only two teams will move to the final. The teams are known for their superb bowling techniques and power batting.
The other attraction will be the Curried Duck Competition with over $850,000 at stake. Several teams have already registered to participate in this competition – a popular one on the Essequibo Coast.
Then, as the sun sets, there will be the massive after-party concert featuring live performances by first runner-up at the recently-concluded International Chutney Soca Monarch Competition, Nishard M; Saleem Beharry also from Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana’s own Jumo Primo.
Apart from the triple treat, there will be lots of giveaways by the phone giant and several activities for the kids, including bouncy castle, trampoline, face painting and others. Admission to the event is absolutely free.
