National Youth Player Akshaya Persaud hit start-studded 103 not out off just 56 balls inclusive of nine fours and three sixes to power Everest Under-19 to 170-7 off their 20 overs in a match against Qarsa Tranzac Cricket Academy (QTCA) from Toronto on Tuesday at Everest Cricket Club.
Persaud’s knock was his second consecutive Twenty20 century after making a 160 in a club match; Travis Persaud chipped in with 17 (2x4s) while Kelvin Shewpersaud made 12.
Bowling for QTCA, Ashton Deosammy took 2-28 from four overs and Rajit Shamsudeen 2-40.
A down pour of rain came after Everest finished batting and the game was called off.
At a small presentation, QTCA presented Everest cricket club with a plague and medals were also given to the Everest players.
