The quarterfinals of the Road to Mecca III National Basketball Club Championships will commence tonight at the Cliff Anderson sports Hall.
Teams are that much closer to the coveted national title as action is set to tip off with two games this evening.
Some of the Round of 16 action at the CASH last weekend
Defending Champs, Trinity Grid Holding Pacesetters of Georgetown will face the Half Mile Bulls of Linden while the Retrieve Raiders will battle Victory Valley Royals in an all linden clash.
The Royals who are a rebuilding team will need every bit of youth to run the much more experienced Retrieve Raiders into the ground.
However, the Raiders are favoured to win the contest since they are the higher rated team.
The second game of the evening will pit the Bulls against the Pacesetters in a match that should provide the fans with some fireworks since both teams like to run the basketball.
Nevertheless, the defending champs will need to up their defence if the hope to slow down the streaky Bulls squad that can burn them from beyond the arc.
The quarterfinal will continue on Saturday with two more games as action is set to start from 19:00h on both nights.
