Region 5 Chamber of Commerce to host first trade expo

West Berbice Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Collaboration with Region 5 National 50th Independence Anniversary Committee as part of the drive to promote commerce and trade in Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice), will be hosting a two-day Expo and Trade to show-case the Regions Diversity and to attract potential investors.
The event is to be hosted under the theme “Transforming Region 5 for a Better Guyana” on March 26 and 27 at the Bath Settlement Community Centre Ground, in honour of the country’s 50th Independence anniversary.
The event will be an annual feature thereafter.
The much anticipated fun-filled Exposition and Trade Fair is expected to attract public and private sector businesses, NGOs and other interest organisations which will exhibit their products and services. The usual vending, children games, and entertainment, including live bands, fireworks, etc. will be in attendance to satisfy the needs of the public.
The Chamber said it is delighted to be part of this initiative since it believes the investment represents development to the Region, and will go far in improving businesses to markets near and far.
“The Chamber welcomes the undertaking and business are encouraged to book their booths early. The Chamber will continue to support the development of communities within which it serves,” a release from the entity said.
Booth spots under the main exposition auditorium with sizes 10 by 8ft are available for $15,000 for the two nights; in addition, spots are available around the venue for larger companies desirous of establishing their own external booths.
Admission to the event is $500 for adults and children $300: The Expo will be opened from 16:00h to 23:00h over the two-day period.
