Traffic Chief hospitalised after car crashes into utility pole at Providence

Traffic Chief, Superintendent of Police Dion Moore was in the wee hours of Saturday morning rushed to a private medical facility, following a vehicular accident along the East Bank Demerara Highway. Up to press time, Moore was receiving medical attention.

According to reports received, the official was travelling along the Providence, East Bank Demerara Public Road in a private vehicle when the driver lost control and collided with a utility pole.
Moore who was reportedly the front seat passenger of the car received injuries and was rushed to the medical facility where he was admitted and his condition is listed as stable.
Guyana Times understands that Moore may have sustained a fractured leg, along with other injuries about his body.
From all reports received, the driver of the motorcar, an unnamed 25-year-old man, received minor injuries as well. He is in Police custody as the Force launched an investigation into the accident. Attempts to contact the Traffic Chief proved futile.
