Playing at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Alpha notched their second successive win in the League when they easily disposed of their Berbice based opponents Monedderlust in the latest action.
Abrams who has now scored four goals, two games in a row, wasted no time in giving his team the advantage when he netted in the 10th minute.
The forward who played for Slingerz FC in the League Genesis was a major head ache for the Monedderlust backline as he was constantly making cheeky maneuvers to put them under pressure.
Before the end of the first half he was on the pounce yet again when he scored in the 38th and 42nd minutes to put his side firmly in the ascendency at 3-0.
As the youthful Monedderlust side, came out in the second half with much more attacking flare, they still failed to change the score line as the Alpha mid-fielders got possession of many of the “long balls” that the defence played.
Dwight Peters then put the final nail in the coffin when he scored in the 82nd to end an undoubtedly dominating performance.
In the following game, Buxton United held off the formidable Pele to end the game nil all. Pele who on reflection would be ruing the fact the countless chances they had to score goals were left begging, saw a much more spirited performance by the East Coast side, as they earned themselves their first point in the League Finale.
The league continues on Friday with matches at the aforementioned venue, where the Guyana Defence Force play Fruta Conquerors from 18:00h and then GFC tackle Slingerz from 20:00h.
