The East Coast Mashramani 10/10 Challenge Cup was made for exciting cricket as the teams battle for supremacy with Better Hope XI being triumphant in front of a small but emotional crowd and remained the dominant team on the East Coast.
The final saw Bee Hive XI winning the toss and batting scoring 122-5 in 10 overs with Sheldon Adams scoring 52 (2x4s; 2x6s) off 26 balls. Andy Singh took 1-15 from two overs.

In reply, Better Hope XI were made to work hard even though they only lost one wicket and only achieved victory in the last over due to a misfield with Navin Singh batting through to score 63 (4×6;4×4) off 23 balls and Sachin Singh making 30 (3x4s;1×6). Better Hope now go forward as the East Coast Representative in the Challenge series.
The day began with a mix team playing an exhibition match which saw East Coast combined and included players from all the teams against an over 40 master’s team from West Coast in Blazers in order to have the interaction between players from different areas of The East Coast and that team was successful as they defeated the West coast team by seven wickets.
West Coast Blazers batted first and scored 80 all out in nine overs with Orville Black scoring 24 laced with one six and one four. Patrick Khan took 1-20 from his two overs with the majority of wickets going via the run out route. The Combined side replied with 81-3 in seven overs. Shakeer Ali 2-18 from his two overs.
In the female match Wellwoman defeated Lady Divas by 15 runs; Wellwoman XI lost the toss and were inserted managing 96-8 in 10 overs and Lady Divas were bundled out for 81 in their 10 overs.
In another exhibition match Better Hope XI defeated Vipers XI by 8 wickets; Vipers XI batted and scored 113-5 in 10 overs with Premnarine Omadat scoring 29 (1×4;3x6s) and extras being the second top scorer 21.
Ajay Singh took 3-13 from 2 overs for the Better Hope boys. In reply Better hope XI rattled up 116-2 in 4.5 overs with Sachin Singh 37 (1×4; 5x6s) off 11 balls and Navin Singh 35 (2x4s; 3x6s) off 11 balls too steering them to victory. Arif Hussain 1-18 from 2 overs bowling for Vipers.
In the earlier game, Beehive XI defeated HY Times by seven wickets.
HY Times batted first and scored 94-9 in 10 overs with Keron Seunarine top scoring with 16.
In reply Bee hive raced to 95-3 in seven overs with Ovid Seymour blasting his way to 43 not out (5x4s; 2x6s) off 19 balls supported by Lionel Alphonso with 36 (5x6s) off 12 balls to propel them to victory. Andrew Williams took 3-20 in 2 overs.
