The fence constructed at the Charity Primary School
Lions Club of Essequibo Coast recently constructed a fence and installed a gate at the Charity Primary School in an effort of giving back to the community.
The fence was needed by the school to serve as a separator between the school and the school’s playground facility.
According to a release, it will enable supervised entrance to the playground and will add to the life of the playground equipment. The project costs some $84,000 and was done under the educational arm of the club.
“It is another testament to the club’s commitment to service to its community and those in need,” the club said in the release.
The Lions Club of Essequibo Coast from July 1 to present, has held a kiddies party, dental clinic and repairs to swings in the Amerindian village of Mashabo, made book donations to three nursery schools, donated a walker to an elderly woman and wheelchairs, just to name a few.
“The club wishes to thank Alfro Alphonso and Sons Group of Companies and Ramai’s Lumber Yard for discounts received and the headmistress of the Charity Primary School,” the release concluded.
