Lower East Coast Bulls lead the points standing after two rounds of the Raj Singh Insurance Brokers/Trophy Stall-sponsored Over-40 T20 competition.
The Bulls are sitting at the top of the table on seven points. Bulls achieved three bonus points in their second match against Georgetown Bears at the Lusignan Community Centre ground. They copped two points for passing 175 runs, and one point for winning by more than 50 runs as Bears only managed 127 for 7 when their overs expired.
Upper East Coast Tigers are place in second position with five points. They got the better of West Coast Demerara Seals at Everest Cricket Club ground in their second match by 62 runs. As such, they got a bonus point for winning by a margin of more than 50 runs.
West Bank Demerara Mavericks and Lower East Bank Lions are yet to play a match, but they are on two points each since both of their scheduled matches were rained out.
Georgetown Buffaloes, Georgetown Bears and West Bank Demerara Seals are on one point each that was awarded to them for the rained out first round.
Meanwhile, the competition continues today with the third round. Upper East Bank Colts will play Georgetown Bears at the Everest Cricket Club ground, Georgetown Buffaloes tackling Lower East Coast Bulls at Georgetown Cricket Club ground, West Coast Dem Seals taking on Lower East Bank Lions at the Wales Community Centre ground and Upper East Coast Tigers oppose West Bank Dem Mavericks at the Demerara Cricket Club ground.
All matches commences at 13:00h. The fourth round is scheduled for Friday.
