FM Group targets local market

FM Group is seeking to establish a distribution here in Guyana. The Polish perfume fragrance line held a meeting on Saturday with prospective distributors to pitch to them the benefits of selling FM fragrances.

Suriname license holder, Gordon Stenhuigs, who made the presentation, told perspective distributors that the fragrance emanates from Poland, and is a business model which works with the people to promote the product.

With a marketing strategy similar to Avon and Mary Kay brands, Stenhuigs said selling FM perfumes is an effective way of doing business that is a onetime investment which leaves the distributor profiting.

With over 3000 distributors in the Caribbean, Guyana is the brand’s next target since Stenhuigs believes that the market is ripe for the product. According to Stenhuigs, distributing the FM Perfume brand is an investment in one’s own business and distributors could earn up to 43 per cent profit on personal sales.

With a classic and luxury line of fragrances along with skin care products and make-up, the FM Group was introduced by Poland to Europe in 2004, and has grown rapidly since.

“We’re not doing conventional distribution. We are working with members to allow for focus to be on product,” Stenhuigs explained.
