Nandlall has over the years been very close to these organizations and had supported them in many of their endeavours, the groups said in a release. President of the MYL, Shabir Hussain in extending the organisations’ congratulations to Nandlall, stated their confidence in his appointment and ability in his successful execution of duties in the positions and offered the support of the organizations and by extension, the Muslim community, in the administration of justice in the Guyanese nation.
Hussain also opined that the appointment of Nandlall is a clear demonstration of the confidence and trust that newly elected President, His Excellency Mr. Donald Ramotar has placed in him and that the Guyanese nation also places great faith in him in the administration of justice in this beautiful country.
The organizations expressed their support to the government and the other stakeholders in working together to develop this nation. “The organizations are ready and willing to lend their voices and energies to sustain national development. The time has come we also believe for all political and civic groups in Guyana to join hands in a united effort and develop our country” said Hussain.
Nandlall in his response thanked the organizations for hosting the event, for the confidence placed in him and for the plaque presented to him. He promised to work tirelessly in executing the responsibilities and duties the new positions require and that he will continue to give his total commitment and dedication to the Guyanese nation.  Nandlall was accompanied to the event by his wife, Hessaun l. Also present at the event was Shaikh Safraz Bacchus of the CIOG.
